After some months of trying avoiding the problem, I have now started working on a new version of this Website. Visually there won’t be many things changed, some parts improved though, but mostly the backend will change. Due most of the page still being static, updates and new releases aren’t done as fast as I’d need it sometimes. It’s planned to bring the entire page into WordPress and manage it there.
During the rework process, I won’t keep the site up to date, except some major news in the News section. Please visit MySpace meanwhile, or you can follow me on Twitter
I plan to relaunch the page still this year. I’m going to use this post as a live ticker, that you don’t have the feeling this page is dead for some months ;-) Just click on “Read More”!

Newsticker about the redesign………
05.09.10 – Trying around with DHTML (Dynamic HTML) for the music section. There are already some drafts, I hope I get this working :D
06.09.10 – Getting deeper into the structure of WordPress and reading documentation stuff. Also made additional drafts and notes on what to change exactly.
07.09.10 – Writing the first plugin stuff for displaying releases.
09.09.10 – The backend for the discography administration plugin is almost complete.
11.09.10 – Starting with the preview administration
12.09.10 – Administration plugin is complete now.
13.09.10 – 4:20 AM – Have a first draft for the new banner ;-) Don’t worry, the afterglow background image will stay.
16.09.10 – Still working on the new design.
29.09.10 – Busy with the template integration. Might take it’s time… =/
03.10.10 – Slideshow for the home page is basicly implemented, working right now on the integration of the release data into the discography page. When the time’s right I’ll post some screenshots!
07.10.10 – Basic template integration for the discography overview done, working on the detailed display and the integration of the media section.
08.10.10 – Let’s say, more than 60% of the work is done. Working on the media integration at the moment. Front-End for displaying and showing YouTube Videos is done, working now on the backend and the improvements of the galleries.
31.10.10 – Pretty busy with finnishing two projects for release and some other stuff, too. Getting focussed on the remaining tasks, the two months will be needed for sure in order to get the new website done. Next step will be: Finnishing the homepage with some further stuff (Facebook and Twitter integration, as well as some further information and news). Stay tuned.
03.11.10 – The homepage and detail view for releases are completed, except for some some visual optimation stuff. The next tasks will be including a “share”-function for Myspace, Facebook and Twitter, and building the missing templates for the news section. Furthermore I’ve decided to implement the search engine not in the v2.0 version, but later with an update. For the first time askiimusic.com is not going to have that much content which would demand a search engine from the beginning.
09.11.10 – Finally it’s coming to an end :D At the moment I’m validating the page, and the testing-phase will start on thursday. I plan one more week for fixing the last issues and building a clean installation routine, but the page will be online approximately on 22nd November. Stay tuned, it’s close!
12.11.10 – The Beta-Test is running!
17.11.10 – All bugs are fixed (hopefully!), updating the system. Launch date is set to 22 Nov!
